Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Tech-driven, data-oriented, and often artful in its presentation, the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) encompasses the studies of geography and real-time information. With training in computer mapping and an emphasis on analyzing information, students of COCC's GIS and Geospatial Science program learn how to capture, interpret and display geographic data from the world around them. Instructors with industry experience teach the latest technology offerings — ranging from drones to web mapping — in both the Associate of Applied Science degree and one-year certificate programs, equipping students for diverse, well-paying careers that include urban planning, public health, forestry, trail mapping, academic research, historic preservation, and real estate. Students pursuing the Associate of Science in Geospatial Science will be prepared to transfer into Oregon State University's bachelor's degree program.

"It was clear that every teacher definitely loves what they do"- Levi Roberts, GIS毕业生,Crook县GIS经理。
